Clive Davis is producing a Whitney Houston Biopic, and we are all left wondering who will play Whitney. Some people have been saying that they would like to see Demetria McKinney play as Whitney who played as her before. Pat Houston has mention Taraji P. Henson for the Whitney Biopic. There are people that don’t agree, but I can see why Pat has mentioned Taraji after seeing her play in the action movie Proud Mary.
No one can play as Whitney better than Whitney Houston. No one can act out her life the way she could because it’s got to come from what’s inside. Whitney didn’t get a chance to finish sharing with us the way she wanted to. If we could see Whitney Houston play her own biopic, it would be more than a movie. It would probably be a real film with no fantasy, hollywood, spins, or twists added to it. The actress and singer’s life seemed complicated, and Whitney could be tough as nails. We would probably see her life as real life, and on top of that, we would probably understand her a whole lot better without all the tabloids and everyone else telling their stories. There would be no hear say. We could then hear and see Whitney’s side of the story.
When Whitney was alive, we learned the meaning of her nickname, Nippy. She was a mischievous little girl from New Jersey. The nickname was given to her by her father. Nippy was also the name of a cartoon character who constantly got into trouble, but Whitney was no cartoon. She was the real thing in a good way. A child will be a child, and Whitney had to grow up like any other child. As a grown woman, she was still a child to God and always loved by him. Whitney’s nickname would make an interesting title for a Whitney Houston biopic like Proud Mary was an interesting title for the movie starring Taraji P. Henson.
An actress can act out your life, but no one knows Whitney’s life exactly like she does. She’s no longer hear with us, and only she lived her life. A movie would be great to see, but it would be even greater if we could see Whitney Houston play as herself. Just Nippy.
